We are a
friendly, enthusiastic society and we have been singing in Hoylake
since 1948.
Our concerts, normally two per year, are
held locally and are a mix of traditional repertoire and more
modern works. We also sing a family carol concert every year before
Christmas.
If
you enjoy
singing, a warm welcome awaits you at our rehearsals on any Wednesday
evening (September-May) in Hoylake Chapel Hall. We are particularly in
need of more tenors and basses. We do not hold auditions. Enthusiasm
and love of
music is more important to us than technical excellence. Nevertheless
we strive to achieve quality performances and we like to think we are
usually successful. Details relating to joining and information for
members is given on the Membership page.
Even if you can't join us as a singer, an equally warm welcome awaits you as a member of the
audience at any of our concerts. For details of our forthcoming and past concerts see the Concerts page.
It
is our practice to take a collection in favour of a local charity at
each of our concerts. Our current charity is "Crossroads - caring for
carers". Our President is shown here presenting the donation raised by
last seasons collections.
