Blake Fischer (Tenor)
Blake Fischer photo Australian by birth, Blake attended the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne before moving to the UK to study at the Royal Northern College of Music as a Peter Moores Scholar. A multiple prize-winner, Blake established himself as a recitalist in 1998 winning the prestigious 'Mietta's City of Melbourne Song recital Reward' and was awarded the RNCM's prestigious Gold Medal in 2003.
During 2007, Blake has sung Jean Valjean Les Miserables for Pimlico Opera and Alfredo La Traviata for Pavilion Opera. Recent opera highlights have included Spoletta for English Touring Opera and the Lawyer/Ensemble in the Salzburg Osterfestspiele production of Peter Grimes with the Berlin Philharmonic.
In 2005 Blake made his St. Martin-in-the-Fields debut recital. Other recent recitals in the UK include: Burnley and Pendle Music Society; Dulwich Picture Gallery; Hull University; Kendall Arts Centre; Leek; Warwick and Leigh. His recital and concert work has included performances in Melbourne, Perth, Tokyo and Israel.  Blake was invited back to the RNCM in 2004 to perform a recital in the Young Artist Series.  During Christmas 2005, Blake sang the tenor solos in the English Symphony Orchestra's 6 performances of Handel's Messiah.
