We are a friendly, enthusiastic society and we have been singing in Hoylake since 1948.

Our concerts are held locally and are an mix of traditional repertoire and more modern works. We also do a traditional Carol concert every year before Christmas. If you enjoy singing, a warm welcome awaits you at our rehearsals on any Wednesday evening (September-June) in Hoylake Chapel Hall, particularly if you are a tenor or bass. We do not hold auditions. Enthusiasm and love of music is more important to us than technical excellence. Nevertheless we strive to achieve quality performances and we like to think we are usually successful.

Even if you can't join us as a singer, an equally warm welcome awaits you as a member of the audience at any of our concerts. Tickets for our concerts are available from:

We celebrated our Diamond Jubilee season in 2007/2008. The celebrations culminated with a dinner on Friday, June 20th. at Kings Gap Court Hotel and was followed by a performance of Handel's Messiah on Saturday (mid-summer day) in the Hoylake Chapel.

The Hoylake Choral society would like to acknowledge the kind assistance of Information Services at Liverpool John Moores University who are hosting this web site and who have provided expert technical advice to help in its establishment.
We would also like to acknowledge the grant of £750 we have received from the West Wirral Area Forum of Wirral Borough Council which has enabled us to purchase some new staging that is being used for the first time this season.
